Elizabeth Lawler

Service Designer

Elizabeth Lawler (Liz) is a Service Designer at Benefits Data Trust where she designs, tests, and facilitates the implementation of forward-thinking experiences and experiments that improve both internal and external benefit access services. Before joining the Research and Insights team, Liz worked as a UI Designer at BDT for 3 years, collaborating with the product and engineering teams to design user interfaces for BDT’s products.

Liz brings more than 6 years of diverse experience in designing sustainable solutions and addressing user needs through human-centered design. Before joining BDT in 2020, Liz worked as a Graphic Designer to conceptualize, design, and execute on projects across a variety of industries and fields, including nonprofit, healthcare, higher education, finance, and events.

Liz holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she studied design for digital, print, and experiential services. At SCAD, she obtained certifications in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, and minors in Art History and Packaging Design. In her free time, Liz enjoys DIY house projects by renovating her Philadelphia fixer upper with her wife.
