Rachel Gershon

Associate Director of Policy

Rachel Gershon is a Senior Policy Manager at Benefits Data Trust. Rachel leads BDT’s federal agenda, working with federal partners to improve access to assistance for food, health care, and other basic needs.  

Prior to joining BDT, Rachel advised and represented individuals who receive public benefits, including Medicaid, Medicare, prescription assistance, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security, and housing assistance. She also advised state agencies on a range of topics, including health care affordability, Accountable Care Organizations, long-term supports and services, housing supports, access to food, language access, and services for individuals experiencing incarceration.  

Rachel holds a law degree and master’s degree in public health from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Whitworth University.
