Since 2012, Benefits Data Trust (BDT), the AARP Foundation, Share Our Strength, and state government have collaborated in Maryland to combat food insecurity and increase stability across the age spectrum.
Using a comprehensive, data-driven outreach and application assistance strategy developed by BDT, the MD Benefits Center has:
- Significantly increased the number of individuals enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Infused millions of dollars into low-income households and the Maryland economy
