Lisa Dillman
Associate Director of Research
As Associate Director of Research at Benefits Data Trust, Lisa Dillman, Ph.D., develops the organization’s research agenda and leads the research, evaluation, and user experience (UX) research functions. Lisa oversees projects related to understanding equitable benefits access, dignified and efficient benefits service delivery, and the relationship between receiving benefits and health, economic, and educational outcomes.
Prior to joining BDT, Lisa was the Director of Research and Evaluation at The Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia. In 2016, she received the Marcia Guttentag Promising New Evaluator Award, presented by the American Evaluation Association. She also served on the editorial board of the New Directions for Evaluation journal and currently teaches courses about evaluation and applied research at UCLA and Claremont Graduate University.
Lisa earned her Ph.D. in education from UCLA, where she studied social research methodology. She also holds an M.Ed. from Temple University and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, she enjoys singing in a choir and traveling.
