Ben is the Content Strategist for Benefits Data Trust, responsible for promoting BDT's key programs, services, and initiatives. He develops web content, emails, marketing collateral and more, helping BDT communicate with clarity and consistency.
Prior to joining BDT, Ben was an independent writer and brand strategist, helping nonprofits, community-based organizations, and tech startups hone their brand messaging and content strategies. Before that he oversaw communications for a humanitarian aid organization serving families displaced by conflict. Ben has also worked an editor for HarperCollins Publishers.
Ben graduated from Taylor University with a bachelor's degree in business and political science. In his spare time, he serves as a volunteer advisor to a refugee support agency in his hometown of Grand Rapids, Mich. He also enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.
