BDT's work is about more than using data-driven initiatives to streamline access to public benefits – it's about giving individuals and families the opportunity to live healthier lives and make decisions that best fit their needs. Meet Robin Gentry, a BDT client in Philadelphia, who recently spoke to Alfred Lubrano of The Philadelphia Inquirer about her experience accessing SNAP after receiving an outreach letter from BDT.

"Life got very much easier,"she said. "The letter was a wonderful thing – exciting. I didn’t know how to balance food and bills. These people reached out to others who need help desperately and didn’t know where to turn."
