BDT welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Benefits Data Trust (BDT) is pleased to welcome Jared Susco as its inaugural Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Jared brings a wealth of experience in fiscal operations, information technology, financial management, strategic planning, and marketing in both for-profit and not-for-profit settings. Most recently he served as Chief Operating Officer & Interim CEO of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, a nonprofit that works toward uniting the communities of caregivers in Camden and across the nation to improve the wellbeing of individuals with complex health and social needs. Prior to that, he worked for the University of Pennsylvania, first as Director of Administration & Planning for the Wharton Undergraduate Division, and then as Assistant Dean & Executive Director of Finance for Penn Dental Medicine. Additionally, Jared has held roles at Campbell Soup Company and PepsiCo. He also spent time volunteering with the Peace Corps in Concepción, Paraguay.

“Jared is an excellent addition to our organization given his financial and healthcare background,” said Ginger Zielinskie, President & CEO. “His extensive experience and skills will help BDT increase its reach and forge new partnerships in the healthcare sector that will both improve health outcomes and lower healthcare costs.”

As CFO, Jared will build and support BDT’s financial infrastructure, driving the financial accountability and planning functions, and play a leading role in creating partnerships in the industry. He will bring strategic financial acumen to shape organizational financial policy, expertise supporting outcomes-driven teams with coaching, coordination, and integration, and will develop the systems and practices necessary to allow BDT to fully capitalize on opportunities for expansion. The following departments will be under his purview: Finance, Human Resources, and Operations.

“I am honored and delighted to join BDT as its first CFO,” said Jared. “I look forward to working with the team to pursue the right financial opportunities and capital structure necessary to invest in scaling BDT’s proven model even further.”

Jared earned his BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Emory University. He will begin working for BDT on April 16, 2018.
